Polygon PoS is widely used for payment applications because of its high throughput, low transaction costs, and broad ecosystem support from major payment providers.

Exchanges, on-ramps, and off-ramps

Polygon has integrations with hundreds of payment infrastructure providers. These include on-ramps and off-ramps that give users access to crypto-to-fiat conversion in 150 or more countries. Major payment infrastructure projects that support Polygon: Learn how to integrate Stripe on Polygon.

Transaction speed and cost

With the upgrade to Heimdall v2, deterministic finality on Polygon PoS is achieved in 2 to 5 seconds, thanks to 1 to 2 second block times in Heimdall. Milestones are voted on and finalized faster than the previous checkpoint-only model. Fast finality means payments are available to recipients without delay. Polygon transactions cost approximately $0.0001. Track the average transaction fee on Polygonscan. Read more about finality.

Network uptime

Polygon PoS maintains 99.999% network uptime. Check the status of Polygon mainnet and testnet.

Compliance

Business payment applications require compliance tooling. Major compliance providers on Polygon:
