# Filecoin

> How to use Filecoin and IPFS storage services in your Polygon dApp for persistent, decentralized file storage.

Filecoin builds on IPFS to provide verifiable, long-term storage via onchain storage deals. Together, IPFS and Filecoin give dApps a decentralized storage layer with guaranteed data persistence.
